MAX Show Seminar on Fri night Oct 4, 2013

Author M. Bando, who co-authored the recent Beaver/Bando book on W-SS Insignia & Artifacts will speak and present a slide show about the Mysterious Death & Disappearance of SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Christian Tychsen at 8:30PM on the above-captioned date at the host hotel for the MAX (Doubletree Monroeville, PA). Also illustrated & discussed will be the CE Junker L12 800 Knight's Cross and Godet Oakleaves attributed to Tychsen, as well as his 6.35 mm Mauser pistol. This topic is the subject of Chapter 15 in the recent book, signed copies of which will be available after the presentation, or from Bando at a wall table in the MAX Show.

The book will also be available at a special reduced MAX Show price.

I attended and enjoyed an awesome presentation on what was essentially a cold case homicide (albeit in battle) investigation into the death of a very significant WSS personality. Although I appreciate and collect objects I prefer the history so can't get enough of this sort of thing. A shame OVMS doesn't pursue such educational opportunities. Thank you MAX. Keep em coming Mark!

Very interesting, I would have liked to have attended this...

Here is a photo from my collection that was signed and dedicated by Christian Tychsen to a comrade of his. The death rune and date of his death was then added by the owner of the photo at the time.

Agreed. That signed photo of Tychsen with added date of death is fantastic. Thank you very much!
