I couldn't live with that on my conscience. Maybe not now, but that's bound to crop up in the future.

I would have to see more evidence then this newspaper article to believe that one crew caused so many enemy casualties. At that rate he would have to be killing something like five people per day every day of his deployments.

You bring up a good point. I wonder what the conditions are for confirming each kill. Especially with the tech we now have.

This is roundly being classified as bull**** via veterans boards.

I know some guys who have info on him but I can't post it right now.

Think twice before falling for preposterous crap like this.

The Amazon reviews completed by the Cav Troopers who served with him should clear this up:

I take it there was actually a paid proof-reader for this book?

The claim of 2700+ kills really is the stuff of legend and fantasy, would any prospective publisher worth their salt not check on such an outrageous claim against reliable sources?

I hope there is a suitable backlash against this man and his claims.

                          Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.

Pathetic.... particularly on the part of the publisher and of the journalist who wrote the above linked article. They should learn to be professionals, and not the tools of a pathological liar.

Anyways, at least he apparently got his unit right!

Seems like this book was published in an effort to capitalize on the success of American Sniper by Chris Kyle. I guess they just didn't care about or at least didn't question the facts.
