This looks very good alright, I think I may go for the 'Croation Legion' one first though. There is a lot of interesting books on that site

If 'Beseiged - the epic battle for Cholm' is anything to go by you can be sure of a wealth of indepth original research, presented in an interesting and engaging way.

Ordered a copy today. Jason does in depth research and it clearly shows in his books.

I ordered mine as soon as the notice came out.

I am looking for a signed hard cover copy of "Death of a Leaping Horseman" and will pay top dollar for one. Contact me if you have one to sell, please!

I own all of Mark's books and think he is THE best military writer concerning small unit tactical campaigns and histories. His use of maps and aerial photographs is to me pioneering!

Considering that he does all by himself and still beats most bigger publishers in quality is commendable! I just wish that he had a European distributor as the Aussie postage is brutal!

I have just pre ordered a copy for myself, I've recently finished reading Jason's book on the siege of cholm and it was superb. As mentioned above the use of maps and aerial photographs really makes a difference and helps you understand the narrative.
What are Jason's other earlier books like? The cholm one was the first of his I've read.

All of his books are brilliant. Death of a Leaping Horsemen is about the 24th Panzer Division in Stalingrad. Island of Fire is about the Barrikady Factory and the horrible fight for it, and Croatian Legion is about the Croats attached to the 100. Jager Division in Stalingrad. ALL of them are great. Island of Fire uses a lot of Russian sources as well. They're all in the same style as Besieged, so if you liked that one you would love the rest. My personal favorite is probably Death of a Leaping Horseman, followed by Island of Fire.
