    Hi Folks,
    Check it out the German mini-series is now on YouTube-Unsere Mütter, Unsere Väter. You can watch all 3 parts, and you can go to the close-captioned box to read the sub-titles in English.

    Wow thanks for the heads up! Do you know how many parts to the series? Can this be bought on DVD bluray? Also how do determine which you tobe is fiet, second, etc thanks.

          I have this series on DVD and it's a very good series. It lasts 4,5 hours but these passed by without noticing. Very well filmed and acted and all in all very recommendable

            I see this movie available on Amazon.de for purchase, but it is only available on pal, PAL and not NTSC. It is available on Blu-ray. Does anybody know where this can be purchased Blu-ray on NTSC? Thanks very much. I could order the film through Amazon.de, but I'm not sure if they will send it all the way to the states. Is there anyone in Germany that could pick this movie up for me and send it to me in California? I would pay for the film obviously and any shipping costs thank you. I don't mind for now getting the PAL version, I believe I still have a Blu-ray player which is multi-region format.

                Hello James, yes I do have one. Now all I need to do is get the PAL Blu-ray disc. However, I do not think I can order the movie myself myself from Amazon.de. , I could be wrong, which is why I am trying to see if there is a waf member in Germany who I could pay to order and ship to me in the states. Thanks

                  You may want to watch it first on Youtube before you buy it. I for one liked it, but not enough to buy it. I found it somewhat predictable and I thought the ending could have been better.

                  The show is in 3 parts and if you follow the link the other two parts are listed there as well.

                    Thanks Jody, watched it on utube, loved it. I have seen Das Boot maybe 3 dozen or more times, same with most films I really enjoy. I love movies, kind of a hobby of mine. This one I will certainly watch again and again.
