Would appreciate recommendations as to best reference book on badges of the kriegsmarine.

Hi, the Kriegsmarine Awards by Weber and Skora with the new third Volume by Norm Franke and John Robinson is by far the best and most informative IMO. Check out the thread in the KM section. Well worth every penny.

I would recommend 'German Combat Badges of the Third Reich - Volume 1 - Heer & Kriegsmarine' by Tucker and Previtera.
