There is also 'Hitler's Irishmen' by Terence O'Reilly. Relates to Irishmen in the British Army who enede up in the SS (lso covers other aspects).

I've read the 2002 version some years back.

The book isn't solely about the British Free Corp it has chapters on Mosley, Joyce and Fascism in Britain. The British Free Corp chapter runs to about 20 pages.

              Hi,

There has been a UK TV "documentary" about the British Free Corps. although very little reliable and authenticated information can be discovered about this tiny unit.
I am sure you can view this on YouTube.
Strangely, the recent "Upstairs, Downstairs" DVD's tell a great deal about the history of British Fascism; and it's downfall.
A few threads have appeared on the forum about BFC insignia - does anyone have any original items?
I would think not as these people would have been in a frenzy to destroy their identities as the Russian Army approached.
One individual from the BFC was the son of Lord Amery. a highly conspicuous member of the Conservative Party in the UK coalition government.
He was found and executed, as was William "Lord Haw-Haw" Joyce; although this may not have been entirely legal - he was an Irish citizen rather than English.

              Best wishes,

              John

Strange. To my knowledge there were only two Irishman who joined the Waffen SS. If I recall James Brady was one chap and I dont recall the other chaps name.
