    Thanks very much for the link. What a hodgepodge of vehicles, and, sadly, the many horses.; I shudder to think what happened to the poor creatures.

        Thanks for posting that. I have a Soldbuch to a sailor who was part of Elster's Column and was killed on the 7th September 1944 during Allied air attacks near Issoudun.

          the horses!!!! F**k the horses, Poor soldiers... I love the part when the American officer says,, you , your officers and mans would be giving treatment according of the principals of the Geneva convention hahahahah.......poor soldiers ,,How many were attributed to Dwight Eisenhower after he ordered that these Germans did not fall under the Geneva Rules, and were NOT TO BE FED, NOR GIVEN ANY WATER or medical attention. The Swiss Red Cross was NOT to inspect the camps, for under the "Disarmed Enemy Forces" classification, they had no such authority or jurisdiction...
