great story with audio and video on NPR. The title of the book is "A Higher Call" and is about the 109 pilot escorting a shot-up B-17 out of Germany after a bombing raid and the subsequent meeting of the two pilots long after the war.

This is also out on audio book. If you like audio books this is a good one. You can taste the North African dust. It also restarts your interest in German aviation. If you're into audio books I'd highly recommend it.

A Higher Call

Hello,
I just finished the book yesterday (I bought my copy at Costco) and it was great (a new favorite). One of the better books I have read on the air war, I plan to have my son read the book next summer when he enters into 6th grade.

I have just read the book and have to say that it is a must read for all.
Very well written and an honest view point from the author at the start, but the journey on how has changed his mind on certain points of view concerning "the so called Enemy".

Wonderful book

I also like the prints that have been produced, however they are hard to come by.

The book is amazing!Its one of the few that I read all the way through.The really does do a good job of putting you there with them and enjoyed reading about Charlie and his crew,Stigler,Luetzow,Galland,ect as if I go to know them.This book sparked my interest in Hans Marseille that I might just buy the book The Star of Africa
