Just wanted to follow-up on a previous thread I started asking for reference material on the Canadian Army during WWII. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=63280
I did some searching and I found this outstanding reference book called "The Canadian Soldier from D-Day to VE-Day", by Jean Bouchery, ISPN:2-913-903-51-7. The author also wrote an earlier book called "The British Soldier from D-Day to VE-Day".
It is a great single source reference covering the Canadian Army's: Order of Battle; uniforms, insignia and ranks; badges; decorations; tanks, vehicles; weapons and equipment. It is a hardback book with 160 pages. It is complete with maps, wartime photos, lots of illustrations and color. I found it at overstock.com for under $23.39, including shipping.
