Reference Books Then and Now

Hello All,

I came across this and thought you guys would find it as funny as I did.
Its a reference book on German WW2 Uniforms and Equipment published in..... 1970! This book was obviously well intended and has good original photos but the illustrations and diagrams of the equipment and uniforms look like the stuff I drew when I was 12. It really makes me appreciate the resources we have today like the newer reference books and forums such as this.

Most of my first reference books were nothing but line drawings. They were good for identifying items, but not for telling the good from the bad.

We have come a long way as a group in the last few years.....
