    "The Victors"

    Hi,

    Watching UK TV yesterday afternoon and came across this 1963 film which I have not seen since my teens.
    A good anti-war movie which had a big impact on me as a child, and again in my 50's.
    Starring George Hamilton, a (very) young Peter Fonda and George Peppard it is several separate (although related) stories within one film.
    All about the futility and waste of war; I do not think I have ever seen a film quite like it.
    Have thought about this film for years, now I know the title - got to buy the DVD!

    Hi i to saw it when i was a teen over 30 years ago.Great movie in B/W.I have looked for it on DVD but no luck.Let us know if you find it. Brian

        Thanks for the link Karlo! the "dog" scene was one of the best in the movie!
        Divebomber, the movie can be bought on AmazonUK and MovieMailUk, but it may have region issues for viewing in the US and Canada, although it is cheap at under £6.
        Will send for my copy over the next week

            Hi,

            Visited the local HMV shop over the weekend, and bought "The Victors" for only £5.00!
            Watched a couple of times already, epic movie!
