    Knights cross winners book

Can anyone recommend a book which details the actions that led to awards such as the knights cross? I have found a few which list the recipients but haven't found one that explains what they did to earn the award.

    Any suggestions?

                  HI Toronto Matt

Can of course recommend my own project W-SS Knights and their Battles - Vol 3 is at the proof reading stage and due out before the end of 2012. Think they cover exactly what you are after.

In addition, can thoroughly recommend Mark Yerger's books, as per his listing below. I have the majority of these and find them invaluable, a very worthy addition to anyone's personal library!

Also started W-SS Knights Vol 4, but still a lot of work to do. Alongside this, working on a personal story of one of the W-SS RK holders - different concept, but should be of interest to a lot of readers? Will keep the WAF posted on progress.

                  Peter

Hi Peter, I really enjoy your W-SS books. That personal story you are working on also sounds really interesting. I was just wondering what time frame does volume 3 cover?

This Vol 3 will cover the remainder of 1943 - August to December. Just finished the 1st stage proof read this week, so well on it's way to getting on the shelves before the end of 2012.

Just read "SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Ernst August Krag" a biography of a Knights Cross holder. Very good history, with good close combat stories and some good photos.
