In the land of blood and honey

If you enjoy boring, predictable, stereotypic, anoying, primitively anti-serbian movies with bad actors and no scenario, then Angelin Joly's recent blockbuster is for you!

I think Angelina would best have minded her own buisness in this case instead of getting involved in this pretensious failure!

Did anybody else get conned into seeing it?

I forgot to say, there is a movie with a similar theme, that is infinitly better though nobody seems to have heard about it, that came out last year, based on the civil war in Lebanon: Incendies. Make the effort of finding this one instead of going for Blood and Honey...

      I was afraid of this

when i heard about it, i tried to see it just because i am interested in this stuff-including how Movies depict this history.
Also a shame she used such a good title for the movie-she stole it from that war photographer's photo book!

But it was not really being shown hardly anywhere. So i could not see it.
Sorry to hear it is as bad as i feared it could be.
I dont really have much trust in Angelia Joly's writing scripting or artistic vision--much less historical authenticity....
For decent films I guess we will have to stick to one of the best films I have ever seen "Pretty Village, Pretty Flame."

Michael, if you haven't seen it yet, I would suggest "Savior" from 1998 as well. Probably Dennis Quaid's best role ever and it really manages to portray the bleakness and brutality of Bosnian War in a very accurate way. No apologies and secret agendas given in this one....they have made quite a few movies about Bosnian/ex-YU war(s), but only two or three really worth seeing, as far as I am concerned.

I knew exactly what to expect from reading the local media, but decided to watch it just for the fun of it. It did not disappoint......I expected one-dimensional cartoonish characters but it got even worse than I imagined. All in all, it certainly delivers!

Too bad 100,000 people were killed and half a country turned into refugees/displaced persons only so that Mrs. Humanitarian could turn it into a laughing matter.

Always the same thing with the hot chicks. They feel the need to show that they are intellectuals concerned by very serious matters. When will they burning energy for nothing and finally understand that their brain isn't the really fascinating side of them?....
