It's very rare that I buy DVDs.... Cause the cinema is full of remakes.... Some good, some just cash cows. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this. About time we had a good WW1 movie.Comment

My wife and I also saw "Warhorse" yesterday. One of the best films I have seen in some time. Beautiful cinematography, and well -directed, as one would expect of Spielberg.
The uniforms & equipment were, by and large, done pretty well. I will nitpick and say that the two young German soldier brothers' hair was too long, but tht'a about it.
A very emotional movie, and it gives one pause to think of the vast numbers of horses, mules, donkeys, etc., killed in the war, by their supposedly more intelligent masters.

I just saw the movie today. Very well done and entertaining. Worth the price of admission. I would recommend this film to war movie buffs and those who just enjoy going to a good movie.

An excellent movie to see for the holidays. Great war scenes of calvery and trench warfare. Sad in many parts and moments on civilian and both warring sides. If you love animal stories - this is it. The filming is breath-taking and bring a hanky for the teary-eyed.
