Battery! by Joseph S. Covais

Below is a YouTube video describing the book "Battery!" by Joseph S. Covais much better than I can but I must say that it is a quite good book with details that will entertain anyone with an interest in the daily lives of the common soldier. Many will remember Joe Covais from many years ago when he was the pioneer of making reproduction uniforms in the United States. The great details that he put into making uniforms he has now put into making this great story of his father's unit in WWII. He conducted interviews with many of the surviving men of the 319th Glider Artillery, 82nd Airborne Divison and has produced a book that makes you feel as if you were there in North Africa, France, Holland, and into Germany with them.
I highly recommend this book.

Denny,

I couldn't agree with you more. This is a very interesting read.

Joe used some of my dad's photos, maps, and autographs for his book.

Finally, an artillery unit with much distinction gets some of the accolades long overdue.
