German Police Vol 1 Book

Hello,

I have been trying for a number of months now to source a copy of German Police: Uniforms, Organizations and History: Volume 1 by John Angolia and Hugh Taylor.

I have even put a wanted ad in e-stand but with no reply to date.

This seems to be a very rare book to obtain in the second hand market even for a Bender publication (unless you wish to pay well over £250 gbp on Amazon!)

Can anyone tell me why this is? Was it a limited edition, a low print run, etc?

A normal print run I believe. The point is that there wasn't (isn't?) much on ww2 polizei, so all books have been eagerly snapped up by the collectors.

Guess it's to new to have many coppies on the second hand market. Just keep looking on ebay!
I always buy Bender books immediatly when they come out!

Like yourself I collect Bender titles as well but I missed this particular one.

I believe it is now 3 or 4 years out of print so this now means that as well as being a great reference book for police collectors it is now also a collectors item in its own right, hence the high cost to purchase a copy from a book dealer!

However, in my opinion there still seems to be very few copies circulating even for a Bender title only 3/4 years out of print.
