I just saw the trailer for the new WW2 movie Red tails coming out in DEC.It's about the all African American escort planes over Europe .It was made by George Lucas and looks incredible.Just the combat scenes alone will be worth the price of admission.If you Google red Tails you can watch it there.

I just saw it too. I agree, it looks great. Hopefully the plot and acting will be as good as the special effect look like they will be.

Having watched the trailer I can't help feeling that there is a little bit too much CGI in the film which might take the focus away from the story. Hope I'm wrong as I liked the original film about the Tuskagee airmen (can't remember what it was called now though).

Agreed--all CGI. I'll stick with "Catch 22" & "Battle of Britain"--I want to see metal on the screen, not some 25 y/o's glorified-cartoon version of what WW2 combat/aircraft looked like.

I agree, but I will probably send up seeing it with Liam since I do teach US history, that being said it is all too much CGI.
