    Last WWI Vet Dies...

    A sad day in history, but one that is eventually bound to happen. This really makes me want to go out and hear the stories of all the WWII vets before this is also too late.

    Hi,

    I find as a person grows older, the time appears to go faster!
    Just hope I am still alive to see the day that the media inform us that the last WW2 veteran has died.

      Well, that is indeed an interesting remark. There were quite some Hitlerjugend members fighting in 1945 (lets say the youngest were born in 1931), so it will still take many decades for the last one to die. At least one of those Hitlerjugend members will age up to 120 years (which is probably gonna be the case), which means the last veteran will die in the 2050's! Even though I'm 18 years old now, by then I will almost be retired...
