Hi all,
Has anyone watched the above mentioned film?
It was originally a British Channel 4 TV film, released on DVD in 2008 starring Ian Glen and Jemma Redgrave.
Filmed in quite a surreal way, particularly the night scenes; and unusual due to the fact that survivors of the camp are never seen - except in original newsreel footage which has been incorporated into the film.
A little obscure perhaps, but quite moving and historically accurate.
I visited Bergen-Belsen a few years ago, and this film brought back quite a few memories of that cold and drizzly day with the muffled sound of shells going off at the Bundeswehr tank proving ground across the way.
Best regards,
John.
