Are there a great deal of "underground" movies that most people are not aware of? I have gotten interested in writing a WWII related screenplay, but I have heard some rather high statistics at the number of screenplays that get picked up. That leads me to wonder if there are not more WWII films that aren't mainstream (Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor etc.).
Does anyone follow this? Are there quite a few "underground" low-budget productions?
By the way, if there is anyone in the screenwriting business let me know. I have an outline, but no experience!!
