The best Stalingrad Documentary I have ever seen

There is an amazing new documentary up on youtube at the moment simply entitled "Stalingrad". It's a 3 part series with part 1 "the attack" part 2 "the kessel" and part 3 "the doom". It covers the saga from the initial attack right up to the survivors coming home, with accounts from the survivors and some good footage.

It is a truly truly moving documentary, extremely well put together with some terrific music. During the last part of the last episode I had tears in my eyes as I watched it, and was really trying not to cry.

It is well worth a viewing people.

May the Germans, Russians and civilians never be forgotten.

This is a very good dvd series, I purchased it last year. They include veteran interviews throughout. I highly recommend it to all those interested in the Russian Front and/or Stalingrad.

This is the best so far on the subject. I got the DVD from Amazon a year ago. I had read many books and see many documents but this is the most "in deep" emotional description on this sad event.

Very good

A very, very good documentary

Includes the veterans' descriptions of T34s running down their comrades, the cannibalism, the chaos at the airfields and the death toll from disease.

Some scores were settled amongst the survivors on the trains home..

Worth a look!

I saw this on TV a year ago as well. Very good. Lot's of info that wouldn't make the history books from survivors. Like the story of the 4 officers that kicked the doctor and wounded off one of the last remaining transport planes. I want a DVD as well. SAve one for me please!!!!!!!!!!

An outstanding and powerful documentry and a must see for anyone who has an interest in the eastern front campaign.

One of the best doco's I have seen.
