    08/15 Film Question

    Hi All,

In the film 08/15, there is a song that would I like the title and lyrics to,
can anyone point me in the right direction?

It's the beer drinking song where they climb on the tables and drop their trousers. I would like very much to get a copy of the lyrics.

    Thanks!

Good question, I just popped the DVD on to see if I could recall what it was, it is a song I do not know and could not work out the first words, the rest is zum wohl with a lot of lalalalas! Native German speakers please help with this one, I want to get drunk, sing the song.....and pull my pants down!!

Someone on this forum has to know this one. I'm sure it's an old drinking song and
likely has different lyrics. I'm just curious what it is so I can translate it. The Trilogy
is great and for those that haven't had the pleasure of viewing them, I think it's
      worth the price.

I also watched Officer Factory, another adaptation of a Kirst book, I enjoyed it equally.

      Thanks,
      Dachs

Thank s for your reply and hopefully someone will share their knowledge with us.

The song title is "Das grosse Trullala (The big - has no meaning), the refrain is "Ding da", roughly translates as "the something" - obviously a drink-song, as its very easy to name everything "Ding da"

"Pfeiff auf das Ding da, Ding da, zum Wohl tirallala

the first part realy shows how it was back then when the prussian style drill still existed.
some actors in the film served in the Wehrmacht,

Gefreiter Ash, was a paratrooper in 1945 aged 17 ,he s still alive today, and is famous in Germany.
Kowlaski, was an NCO i think
Gefreiter Vierbein, is a swiss actor and served in the swiss army
NCO Platzek also served in the Wehrmacht
same as for the Spiess, i cant recall his name

                      one of the best movie

                      cheers
