The Black Angels by Rupert Butler

Just finished this great read about the Waffen SS.

An older book but nicely and easily written and gives a great insight into the battles and campaigns particularly Barbarossa

    book

Try The Waffen SS: Hitler's Elite Guard at War, 1939-45 by George H. Stein. It is a much better book, in history and sources.

Rupert Butler tends to use sources based on other authors without any primary research. Not a proper way to write history books.
