Gerhard is one of the most intelligent WWII veterans I have met. His reflection of events and vision of the future is amazing.

He is now 88. "Under the Crooked Cross" highlights his time in the Wehrmacht. "The Barbed Wire" is about his time in POW camps after the DAK surrendered. His father was also a POW in the US. "The Little Gray Notebook" is about his time after he returned to Germany to his home in Koblenz, and up until he immigrated to the US in 1953. "Hybris" is about the decline of the US. I can highly recommend all of them as books for thinking people!
I purchased mine directly from Gerhard, but they are available from Amazon.
