New book due autumn 2010 - SS-Schijäger-Bataillon "Norge"

    Hello friends.

Our book (myself and Geir Brenden) on the norwegian Skihunterbataillon "Norge" is due to be published in september 2010 (swedish language) and october 2010 (norwegian language).

The manuscript contains +250 more or less unpublished photos of norwegian skihunters, 148 A/4 full pages with written text and biographies on company/platoon commanders.

I will inform you of the final publishing date as soon as i get more intel from the publishers http://www.leforlag.se/.

Look forward to the Norwegian edition

If you ever think of having it translated into English, i wouldn't transliterate skijäger to ski hunter. I'd keep the original German or Norwegian name for them otherwise use ski troops and ski battalion because the term 'hunter' isn't used in english speaking military terminology. A 'Jäger' unit is either light infantry or in the British army also called 'rifles' so it doesn't translate well at all.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

        Hello Friends.

Would like to inform that the english edition of our book is finally out.

It can be bought fx on http://www.amazon.com/SS-Schijager-B.../dp/9185657069

The book has some 254 pages, well over 250 pictures and 7 maps; and is filled to the brim with information on the SS-Schijäger Bataillon "Norge". Much of the information has never been made available until now so this book is truly the first ever study published which focuses entirely on the Norwegian Schijägers on the Eastern Front 1941-44

        Best regards from AH
