Neil, I have seen the book and read a few excerpts and I think it is a very high quality military history book! There are no (or only a few) personal accounts, but the text itself is very readable. Plus the "new" JJF layout with smallish Garamond font is very pleasant to the eye and easy to read, at least for my eyes (I hate large fonts). The book is big and the text is dense so there is a LOT to read.
