    Reference Books

What, in your opinion, are the best (in print) reference books for collection badges/awards/decorations? What are the best of all time (including out-of-print)?

    Steve,
I love Formans Guide 2nd Edition, it has many photos with front and back views. There are some bad items but the good ones compensate for the bad. Detlevs book is also good but the photos are rather small. But the good thing about it is the quality of printing that allows you to use magnification with seeing just a bunch of dots. The Iron Time is also a beautiful book well worth the price. It too has flaws but here again the good makes up for the bad.
Here are others that I like.
COMBAT MEDALS OF THE THIRD REICH, AILSBY
    WW2 GERMAN MEDALS,AILSBY
    GERMAN PARATROOPS, KURTZ
GERMAN ARMY UNIFORMS OF WW2, KRAWCZYK
    ARMY PANZER UNIFORMS, KRAWCZYK
GERMAN SOLDIERS OF WW2, HISTORIE & COLLECTIONS
These are some of the few I always look to the Uniform books have awards in them too.
