I found the following posted on another forum. It will be interesting to see Jack Angolia's first book on US Forces in World War II:
After over 45 years as a research historian, and 37 books later, I have made the decision to give up my work dealing with all aspects of the Third Reich. I have turned my full time and attention to WWII US. I plan to do a series of books on elite units--airborne, ranger, FSSF, pathfinders, etc. These will not follow the thrust of the Schiffer picture books, and it certainly won't be a "look at my collection" work. I learned a long time ago that no one person can produce a worthwhile reference without the help of others. Thus the thrust of my request. I turn to you all for support in this endeavor. I could use input of period photos, photos of uniforms and unique equipment/items to related units, individual personal histories, etc. My thrust will focus on the service of unit personnel as well as material related to them. As has been my practice in the past, those who provide input will be acknowledged. Furthermore, a discount will be rendered to the Forum members when the book(s) are produced. I would like to hear from all of you as to the nature of your help. I can then provide you with details as to type of photography I need, and my mailing address. If you wish any material input to be returned to you, this will be done upon publication of the work. If you wish to call, my number is 913-681-8508. I look forward to your help! Jack Angolia
