    Movie Tali-Ihantala 1944

Whilst browsing youtube, I found lots of clips of this Finnish movie. I've never heard of it before but it looks really impressive. Anyone seen it?

I have seen it about a month ago. I liked it a lot. You could also see Talvisota (winter war) which is another one Finnish made movie about the winter war. These are the only 2 Finnish made movies i have seen and i liked them both more than most of the holywood movies.

    Regards,
    Fotis

A Kind forum member from Finland bought this for me the week of release (some time ago now) & shipped it to me real quick.
Unfortunately, it's still sealed as i've not got round to watching it yet
I have a pile of DVD's to get through, but end up watching kids TV all the time (and yes, i do have children )

Anyone else interested in the movie? I am the one who delivered the DVD to Anthony. Currently the DVD is on sale, IIRC, with a price about 10 euros. It has English subtitles and I believe it is an all-region release.

BTW, the longer 4 hours+ version of the Winter War has been released. I don´t know if it has English subtitles, will check tomorrow. The negative thing is that I have been told the picture quality is nothing to brag about, as it had to be transferred from an inferior master.

There are also 3 releases of Finnish newsreels!
