I haven't read this book in 30 years, but recall it being pretty good. Didn't he come up with the idea of dropping a bomb in the middle of allied bombers while they were in box-formation?

Indeed a very good book! In some newer editions (like the Finnish one) there is some really annoying PC comments added.

Hi all, I read this in the 70's and thought then that it was a great book and was very interesting, with an insight into the changing conditions He experienced as the war progressed and it was being lost. I saw it had been reprinted a couple of years ago and almost bought it, and I expect one day I will do so.

Highly recommended to any who have'nt read yet.
