Hi Willi,

I enjoyed this book. I read it straight after "Life and Fate" and wanted to find our more about Grossman and his experiences of the Eastern Front.

It's always difficult to recommend books because they can be so subjective but if you can pick it up cheap from an Amazon reseller or similar (Think I got my paperback copy for €5 including postage) it's not too much of a loss if you don't like it.

If you do read it I would appreciate your comments on it.
