    This is what started it all, for me...........

    'Discovering Militaria', by Peter Newman.

    I got this little book when I was about 12 years old, and was immediately 'hooked'.

    I still enjoy reading it.

    A great little book that spawned many, many children.......................

      And how many of us stumbled on one of Robin's books as 12 year olds and got hooked as well? All thanks to "Discovering Militaria"

        My book was German Army Uniforms and Insignia 1933-1945 by Brian L Davis.Then went on to discover your's about 10 years later Robin

          Robin, How many children does the book have??? Don't you mean it spawned many a collector! Sorry mate, I couldn't resist...I knew what you meant, I just wanted to have some fun with you!

                            1st book on WWII: "Flying Forts" by Martin Caiden

                            1st militaria book: Angloia's smaller format private done swords book.

                            Still enjoy both

                              I started off with the 'Davies' book, i was making Tamiya 1/35 scale German models at the time.....
                              This one was quite handy too......
