Doeas anyone know about the comat between German forces and the Soviets in the Danish island of Bornholm during WW2? Wikipedia says "On 9 May Soviet troops landed on the island and after a short fight, the German garrison (about 12,000 strong surrendered. Soviet forces left the island on 5 April 1946."
But there are no details of the battle nor of what happened to the German soldiers after the Russians took them prisoner of war.
Also are there any books on this?
Cheers.
