    Movie Downfall

Just saw it again. What a great movie with incredibly good acting! Have to rank this in my top flicks. If you haven't seen it, go rent or purchase it.

I agree - an excellent film and one of my favourites. The last part of the movie documents some real interviews.

Yes i agree with you! It's an amazing movie, everything is just so well done!

I heard they filmed much of it down in an old red cross bunker to get the
        correct light.

I my opinion the best, most realistic and factually ww2 movie ever made outside of true documentaries.

Great movie, wonderful acting and story. Gotta be one of the best.

I would like to see a movie about the third reich in the 30´s and early 40´s as well. Most modern movies are about the late war. I don´t think they dare to do a movie about the raise of Hitler and his enormous popularity yet in germany.

The snipits of the interview with hitlers secretary is available on dvd

Its interesting interview that lasts about a hour and was made not long

                before she died.

I agree with you there, that earlier period is even more interesting. The most recent major production that covered that period was the Robert Carlisle one. There still is no definitive early years movie however.

Robert Carlisle played a very credible Hitler in that film

It was a very good moive but there was one problem. There was no forgien vounlteers in the movie. Non of the SS or Heer had any forgien vounlteer insignia on. During the battle for Berlin. Only 1 out of every 4 Soldiers were German.

This scene with August Diehls SS officer in the bar is a classic!
