anyone ever read this book of uk mercenaries in Angola in the 1970 s , i read it years ago ans have just bought a copy , good book

Colonel Callan and the Angola episode is a piece of forgotten history really. Its a fascinating story from post colonial Africa with a heady mix of mercenaries, psychopaths and the CIA. Another book on the subject is The Whores of War by Wilfred Burchett and Derek Roebuck. Its from a left wing perspective but has some interesting insights from others who were there and from the trial.
