    Captain Corelli's mandolin

Just read the book and it is fantastic!! Why did they make that piece of tripe that posed as a film? It's the best piece of fiction I have read for years

Agreed! book is brilliant , film is pants!

Nicholas Cage and that awful accent still haunts me

    Penelope Cruz was ok though!

I have to agree that the film was crap, with the worst piece of casting in living memory.

I worked for a holiday company in Kefalonia for a year when I was a young man. It was the best year of my life, the Island is so beautiful and the people so genuine and friendly. Read the book a few years after and I admitt that I cryed.
Saw the film when it came out and it made me feel sick with disapointment.
