    In Harms Way- Book Review

I am almost done with In Harms Way by Doug Stanton, the story of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis in the Pacific while on a secret mission involving the Nuclear program. Even though this is not my usual area of interest, I decided to give it a go. This is seriously one of the best written World War II stories ever told. I find myself staying up quite late, not able to put it down. The author did great research, and I would highly recommend it to all forum members. The book includes many pages of glossy photos, as well as pictures at the start of new chapters.

I started to but found some basic errors in the beginning and filed it back on my shelf as untrustworthy and never finished it. You can go to amazon.com and read the reviews. The majority seemed to have given it a thumbs-up book but I would have to agree with the few who rated it as an average read, but keep in mind I didn't finish it. There are better ones out there, in my opinion just from the few chapters that I read. Also, if you think it's a good book it is! Maybe I'm too critical. As a side note, I loved "Shadow Diver's" and couldn't put it down but shocked and disagreed at many of the negative reviews.
