    memoirs fighting the western allies?

    hey folks,

have read a few books from German soldiers' points of view, memoirs similar to the forgotten soldier, however all these (and most that I can see on amazon) are all dealing with war on the eastern front. I was wondering if anybody can recommend something good from a german soldier which deals with fighting the British or Americans from Africa, Normandy, Italy, Greece etc etc?

    Thanks

    Andy

You can try "With Our Backs To Berlin". There are a couple of pieces involving war on the Western Front in it. An excellent book over all.

Also, I think "Death Was Our Companion" has one or two examples as well.

Andy, buy Kevin Fish´s recent history of the Pz.Rgt. 8 ((Schiffer) as it has plenty of accounts from the North African campaign.

"With Our Backs to Berlin" by Tessier is certainly a good option.

        I'll try to find others.
