Well "Wolfenstein" is back in a full 1st Person Shoot-em up Stlye with a Secret Thule Society, Powerful Medallions and B.J Blaskowicz hot on the Trail. Not a bad game so far if you like the "Call of Duty" Series of Games. The Uniforms are fantasy, but I check out every WW2 Video Game.

In my opinion before buying it I would urge you to seek out a demo, try it at a mates house or wait for it to come down in price.
I have yet to play multi-player so my comments are limited to single player mode. I was expecting a next generation RTCW but what I got was a simplistic console game (and I don't mean that dis-respectively) that has not added much to the FPS genre.
There are some nice levels (I won't go into details and spoil them) but how you get to them via a "town" with re-spawning enemies (I hate re-spawning enemies!) on the way to and then on the way back from missions is very frustrating and adds nothing to the game. Scattered around each level is "intel" (which is another way of saying stuff that could have been in the manual) and "gold" which you use to buy upgrades to your weapons via a black market shop (yawn!) .
There are some nice touches, like the way you see your hits register on the enemies and the OTT faux german accents, one of which sounds like Herr Flick from 'Allo 'Allo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%27Allo_%27Allo!) (if deliberate then if not then )
If this game had come out in 2001\2002 then it would have had an impact but in 2009?
I'd be interested to hear what others who have played the game think.
Cheers
Ian
