    Kokoda - 39th Battalion

Anyone seen this movie? Got pretty good reviews...

    Hello Ben,
I'll just copy & paste what I put when I listed it in the Favourite War Movie thread...

"One that has got in under the radar, except maybe to Australians where this film was released long before it received a worldwide release on dvd, is The 39th Battalion (it was originally released under the title Kokoda) which is a great film about the fighting on the Kokoda Trail. For the realism of the conditions the troops fought in it must rank highly, from the jungle & mud to the dysentry. In terms of combat it isn't a Saving Private Ryan but it does have it's moments which are just as realistic. Watch this and I don't think you will be disappointed.
I recommend this film to everyone (and at just £4 on Amzon it is a bargain)."

It really is a good film and well worth watching.

Excellent film without shadow of doubt.

I am suprised that there has not been a more positive reaction to this film, as pointed out earlier, it has come in under the rader. Readily available at several outlets for under £5

Gritty and very realistic, I would recommend this film to all.

        Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.
