I believe the most comprehensive are the two volumes on fighter pilots, and on stuka/attack pilots that were published in Germany in the 1960's. There are also versions in both english and german, and I am fortunate to have both volumes. I don't know if a third volume was published, covering bomber pilots, but I have never seen any reference to one.
In the volumes I have, every RKT has a mini biography, along with a photo. I was fortunate to find both volumes on Ebay, for below average prices.
I also have the new book on Luftwaffe generals who were awarded the Knights Cross; a nice book, but typical of unedited Schiffer publications; many typos, and questionable grammar at times. Buy it on Amazon, for the discount!

Die Generale der Luftwaffe, 3 volumes, Biblio Verlag. Miles superior to the new Schiffer book.

The 2 KC books by Obermaier were done in German and dual language, but like the above data is to understand. Vol. 3 was never done.

There are updated (1988-89) versions of the Obermaier's books.
However they were printed only in German language. Even so it worths every cent.

Ernst Obermaier's books should (in my opinion at least) be your first port of call. Considered to be dated by some, they are nevertheless essential reference material. Second hand copies really can go for a premium however, they are money well spent for anyone with an interest in Luftwaffe RKT.

The 'Luftwaffe Efficiency and Promotion Reports for the Knight Cross Winners Vol.I &II' by French L. MacLean (Schiffer) are also good books to have however, by virtue of the title, focus more on the archived promotion reports than a detailed career breakdown. That said, another 2 books that are well worth buying.

In my opinion, you can do a lot worse than start with the 4 books listed above.

            Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.

Biblio verlag's 2 volumes on RKT of the Flugabwehrtruppen.

Best if still incomplete RKT series there is.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
