Caught the tail end of a German film, which was based on a true story. The film theme was, volunteers enlisted to be either guards or prisoners and to see if the subjects became submissive or violent. I know the description is vague, but can anyone name the film? Think the experiment was done in the 80s or early 90s...............

I believe it was UCLA that did something like this back in the 70's, dividing students into roles of either guards or prisoners.
The guards were given instructions to keep order ... it only took like 24hrs before the torturing of prisoners began. I watched a small film on it for a psych class I had 20 years ago, it was very interesting.Don't believe everything you read on the internet, that's how WWI got started.Comment
