any one here seen~ the reader, what did you think of it?


i saw it not really expecting much and i found the movie to be quite interesting, one thing that stood out was that there was no flash backs to the war years.

but every time Bruno Ganz spoke i wanted him to fly off into a hitler rage

Not yet. It is on my Netflix list for next week. I had no idea the movie even existed until I saw a preview on the Valkyrie(?) DVD.

I guess I am the opposite. I went into it with high hopes and walked away annoyed. I feel like it went absolutely nowhere! It had its moments but for the most part I found it rather dull and rather absurd really. She catches this very young sick stranger peeping in on here while shes changing and figures "oh hell, might as well have sex with that 13 year old that was just puking in an ally now!" come on. Bruno Ganz was good as well as mister Feins but I was let down.

I LOVED the reader! It was very compelling. What pissed me off during the movie was the dumb B**** who was knitting during the trial! I'd have stabbed her.
