D'Este's books on Sicily and Anzio are good; the first two books of Rick Atkinson's trilogy are very good; Douglas Porch has the best overview of the Mediterranean Theatre; Kesselring and von Senger und Etterlin's memoirs are useful..this is a start,

well i just ordered D'Este's books on Sicily and Anzio as well as the first two books of Rick Atkinson's trilogy. Amedeo Montemaggi's books must be awesome because the cheapest one i can find in $132 !!those will have to wait for now,the ones i ordered should keep me busy for a while.
