Thanks for the FYI, am in half-hour of the movie now, really stoked to see the TK ring on Thomas Kretschmann's finger while dusting the table w/his hand.

Kretschmann's really in high demand for NS period flicks, eh! We see him everywhere!

I have seen it and it's a dreadful movie imo. Kretschman is a great actor but some of it is ridiculous. Far as I remember at one point Eichmann shoots an jewish infant on his desk at work at the behest of a blonde nazi-woman. Deeply biased and propagandaistic kind of a film in my view.

While i agree this is over exageration and false, Eickemann himself was a Deeply biased and propagandaistic kind of a person you could say...while his potrayal should be as barbaric and inhuman as possible, i think they should stick to actual facts in history.

I think his portrayal (like the portrayal of any historic figures in movies purporting to be 'based on a true story') should be honest and based on the facts & not an imbalanced distortion based on some perverse kinds of fantasies. I think they cheapened the whole movie and wasted a good opportunity for an indepth impartial character study. It is not impossible to make a neutral historical movie and I dont think its a standard which hollywood should just not even try to achieve.

I was enjoying the movie until the baby scene. I think it lost all credibility at that point. Although if Im not mistaken there was a witness back in the 60s whom had a simular story and wanted to testify? I m blurry on the specifics but I believe the witness was discredited?? I have to research it.
