    A friend is trying to find a posting that was shot about 1940-1942 and it is of a German shephard trying to get into a Heinkel 111 bomber from the bottom crew entrance without assistance , thats hilarious and goes on for about 30 seconds, he saw the footage on pbs back in the mid 80's once and never again.
    Also is there any other footage or pictures of the dogs other than the few on youtube

    this scene is featured in "the world at war" covering the retreat from Sicily, the first dog is a boxer dog which jumps straight into the belly hatch , the second an Alsation has to be helped in , i believe the naritive says they were guard dogs
