    Must own German WW1/2 movies

Ok guys (and gals) help me out!

    I currently own:

All quiet on the western front
    Cross of Iron
    Das Boot
    Downfall
    Enemy at the Gates
Ilsa She-Wolf of the SS (no collection is complete without it )
    The Night Porter
The Occult History of the Third Reich
    Schindler's List
    Saving Private Ryan
    Stalingrad
    Triumph of the Will
    U-234 Hitlers last U-Boat

    What am I missing?

But seriously, Band of Brothers and the World at War Documentrary should be in all of our film libraries, if you don't have them already. For the German perspective, I've heard that Die Brücke (1959) and Hunde, Wollt Ihr Ewig Leben (1959) as well as Stormtrooper 1917 (or is it 1918) are also great movies. I'd recommend Come and See, but again, I've never seen it and it seems like one of those movies that you either love or hate, with not much middle ground.

And don't forget the classics: The Desert Fox, Sink the Bismarck, The Longest Day, The Train, The Eagle Has Landed, etc.

Doesn't have a German perspective but I've heard that Talvisota (1989), especially the full un-cut version, and Tali-Ihantala 1944 (2007) are must-sees as well.

      I would plump for..

Come And See (not sure if that counts as it is from the Soviet perspective, but agree with the above comment - you will either love it or hate it))
      Uprising
      Conspiracy
Sophie Scholl - The Last Days
      The Pianist
      Days Of Glory
      Canal
      Life Is Beautiful
      Battle Of Britain
The Star (again, from the Soviet perspective - about a Soviet recce patrol behind German lines)
      When Trumpets Fade
      The Counterfeiters
      A Bridge Too Far

If you are looking for WW1 air combat movies. Here a few.

            Dawn Patrol (Great)
The Blue Max (very good film)
Hell's Angels by Howard Hughes ( an early and OK movie)
Flyboys ( can be a fun film to watch if you get past the soap opera and other inaccuracies. I still enjoy watching the biplanes & triplanes whirl about.)

                The Ogre

Decent film that rarely gets mentioned. The main character is French, but you get some HJ, SS and Russian front combat.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet, that's how WWI got started.

Decision Before Dawn great timepiece movie with a lot of real German "stuff". Filmed 1951.

World at War Series: Great story foremat. Also it's good place to do homework as toward when equipment/uniforms are not in continuity with actual time and place in video.

                              missing titles

                              Here's couple I didn't see listed.

The Winter War (about the Russo-Finnish War)
                              Letters from Iwo Jima

                              And...

                              Paths of Glory

For those who haven't seen this film, there is an awesome attack seen where the French come out of the trench. This scene is really well done.
