I just got these nice bronze eagle bookends from eBay..............

Produced by Arthur von Frankenberg, c. 1930, in the art deco style............

He was the owner of the US 'Frankart' company............

So these birds aren't actually German...............but they have that imperious Germanic look about them, a la diplomatic dagger.

I can imagine them on von Ribbentrop's desk!

works of art I always have a thing with strong lines of the art deco and eagle statues. reminds me of third reich political eagles how much did you get it for if you do not mind me asking

But you have to be careful...............even these have been faked, believe it or not!
