a Heer sniper with a badge on his person or being awarded
with the said badge

From what I understand, what you are looking for has never surfaced. If someone has an original photo of one of these actually being worn, it's "a million dollar" picture.

I recall seeing a photo a very long time ago, of the badge being worn. I think it may have been here on WAF. The reason the photos are so rare is that I understand most German sniper wouldn't wear the badge for fear of retribution if captured.

I would just like to see the photo again. If I recall right it was of a sniper standing with his kit at feet and wearing the badge. A bit of a hazy photo too but the badge was clear.
Anyone else know?
