After seeing here a 1950's movie poster for the "A Time to Love and a Time to Die" I researched it a bit and was able to find out that the movie is based on the book by Erich Maria Remarque. The movie received good review by fellow members. He also authored " All Quiet on the Western Front". since the book is always better that the movie, I was fortunate to pick up a 1st edition of the book, copyright 1954. I can tell you that through the first 10 chapters, for a fiction book, it has all the horrors of war and soldiers experiences of the Eastern Front as written by firsthand auto-biographies.
